Our Story

Beautiful
and Intentional

Chef Paul Qui has carried this idea since his early days at Uchi in 2003 — sushi as both craft and visual experience, closer to art than food. Kitsu Nori is that vision, finally alive on South Lamar.

Inspired by ikebana and kintsugi — balance, restraint, and intention in every bite. Nothing accidental. Everything transformed.

What Our Guests Say

Loved by Austin

Absolutely the best sushi in Austin. The dragon roll is a work of art — and the atmosphere is so calming and beautiful. Will be back every week.

Kitsu Nori has spoiled me for every other sushi spot. The wagyu tataki is unreal. Chef Kenji clearly pours his heart into every dish.

Took my partner here for our anniversary. The omakase experience was flawless — each course a surprise, each bite better than the last. Truly special.
